Powder Coating

Powder coating is a protective or decorative coating formed by application of powder to a substrate, after which the powder is fused into a continuous film by the application of heat. Powder coating is a 100% solid coating. An electrostatic process applies it. Atlas Sign Company does all our own powder coating in house within our dust free environment paint booth and heated to over 220 degrees to cure the powder.

When powder coated items are installed and maintain properly they should be relatively permanently free from cracks, chip or peel as regular paint.
